Welcome!

Mission Statement

We promise to be peacemakers and to always trust in God. We will look after our school and our planet. We will try our hardest to be independent learners and we will treat our friends how we want to be treated.

 Welcome Back to Term 5!

Summer - my favourite time of the year. We have an action-packed term ahead of us with lots of new and exciting topics. I’m really looking forward to teaching our science topic based on ‘Animals – including humans’ where we learn about babies, hatchlings and how to keep our hearts and other organs healthy. I also really enjoy teaching ‘The Great Fire or London’ which will take us all the way up to the end of the school year. Please see the curriculum overview to get more information regarding skills taught in term 5.

As the weather starts to heat up (hopefully) please ensure your child remembers their water bottle every day.

Forest School will continue to be on a Friday afternoon. Please make sure children are appropriately dressed (no shorts allowed). We will be doing PE outside on a Thursday afternoon so please make sure your child has their PE kit in school.

I will continue to upload the homework on to Class Dojo on a Friday. Please ensure you allocate sufficient time for your child to sit down and do this. I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you of the importance of listening to your child read as often as possible (at least three times a week). The benefits are huge, and regular reading really does help your child in all areas of their learning.

Mrs Leigh and I are always here to help out in any way we can, so please do contact the school office if you have a matter which you would like to discuss.

Best wishes,

Mrs Edwards and Mrs Leigh.
