St. Clare’s Class (Year 5)
This process starts on the 1 June 2021 and the presentation includes key dates.
Welcome to Year 5!
It is an absolute pleasure to welcome your children into Year 5 this term – it is lovely to see all their faces again and they have definitely grown since I last taught them!
They have been settling back into school life really well and myself and Mrs Amos have been really pleased with their positive attitudes towards their learning.
This term our topic is ‘The Anglo-Saxons’ and we will be looking into the life of the Anglo-Saxons and the events that led up to the Battle of Hastings in 1066. We will be reading ‘Anglo-Saxon Boy’ by Tony Bradman to help bring this topic alive for them.
This term, P.E. will be on a Monday and a Tuesday.
Spellings and Timestables will be tested on a Friday.
Homework is set on a Friday through the Class Dojo website and should be completed by the following Friday morning.
A quick reminder that I am unable to reply to messages or comments through the Class Dojo website and that any queries regarding homework should be sent through the office.
