St. Clare’s Class (Year 5)
Welcome to Year 5!
This term our topic is Extreme Weather and we will be investigating different types of weather and the effects that it has on our world.
Our book, the dystopian novel ‘Floodland’ by Marcus Sedgwick, fits in perfectly with our topic this term and imagines what life could be like if the sea levels continue to rise.
In Year 5, children have the opportunity to take on more responsibility throughout the school and take on jobs.
Our School Council, Eco Team and Junior Road Safety Officers will keep their role for the whole year.
However, each term I will be looking for:
- Fruit Monitors
- Milk Monitors
- Lunch Team
- Register Monitor
- Classroom Manager
Tuesday - P.E.
Thursday – Swimming (starting 19th September 2019)
Homework is handed out on a Friday and returned the following Thursday.
Our Learning Log title this term is: The Four Elements.
