Welcome back to a new term in St Michael’s class.
The children worked so hard during last term and showed great resilience to the new procedures and safety measures in place around the school.
This term, as part of their Science, the children will learn about their bodies and sense including how they have changed over time. Please could we ask that each child brings in a photograph of themselves as a baby or toddler, with their name on the back, to be used during a lesson. This will be retuned at the end of the term. Thank you.
Forest School will continue to be on a Monday afternoon. As the weather turns colder and wetter, please could the children arrive in multiple thin layers of Forest School clothes wearing their school shoes. Please put a waterproof jacket, trousers or suit in a plastic bag, these will be put on after lunch. A pair of named wellies will stay in school.
Please send your child in with a named water bottle each day.
Reading books will be given to your child and we expect the children to bring this in with the reading contact book every day. Books will be changed on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Online homework for St Michael's will continue to be set every Friday. This includes 'Mathletics' as well as spellings linked to the Read, Write, Inc book as part of their phonics work. These can be found on the dojo class story. Just to note that the Mathletics points reset every Monday to Monday.
If you come across any problems with the online homework, need guidance or any support then please send queries to the school office email address and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Messages can also be written in the contact books.
We are looking forward to another successful and enjoyable term.
Mrs McNeil, Mrs King and Mrs Harwood.
