St. Michael’s Class (Year 1)

Mission Statement

We will work hard and be a team.

We will be brave and helpful.

We will be like Jesus and pray for others and always have kind actions.

Welcome St. Michael’s class,

I hope that you all had a restful and enjoyable summer break and that you are ready to return to school. Together, we will learn new and exciting things but just a few reminders and notices.

Please remember to bring a water bottle with you every day, your reading book, reading record and a named coat as the weather can be very unpredictable at the moment.

Forest School will be every Tuesday. Please can your child come into school wearing the appropriate, layered clothing with their waterproofs in a carrier bag. Remember to bring in your named wellies especially if your feet have grown and you have new ones! I would recommend a minimum of at least three layers as it can become quite chilly under the trees at this time of year.

P.E lessons will begin the week commencing 5th September on a Thursday afternoon. The children need to bring the appropriate clothes for P.E as they will be completing the unit ‘Football’ in the school hall. They will change at school and go home wearing their kit.

Homework will be set on a Friday via the class dojo website. Please use the link below to gain access to the homework.

If there are any concerns or worries, please email the school office and the message will get passed onto me or write a short message in the contact book and I will reply as soon as possible.

I really am looking forward to beginning another academic year with all of you.

Mrs McNeil
