Welcome!

 Mission Statement

We promise to think of everyone and show kindness.

We will share fairly and we promise to keep our classroom tidy.

We will try to be brave like St Michael.

Welcome back Year 1!

Welcome back to Term 5, the year really does seem to be flying by! We hope you all had wonderful and restful Easter break.

This term our topic focus is ‘The Seaside’ and our English text is ‘The Storm Whale.’  We are very excited about teaching these topics!  Please also take a look at the curriculum overview to see what else the children will be learning this term.

In PE this term we will be doing ‘Quick Cricket’.  We aim to get outside whenever possible; so please ensure your child has appropriate outdoor garments in their bag including a suitable change of footwear.  If your child wears tights as part of their school uniform then please include a pair of socks for them to change intoForest School will continue to be on a Thursday afternoon and please remember no shorts are to be worn, even if the weather does hot up.

We appreciate all of the reading that you are doing at home with your children.  Please ensure your child has their reading book and reading contact book in school every day so that we may have the opportunity to hear them read as well.

Thank you for your continued support.
