St Michaels Class (Year 1)

Welcome!

 Mission Statement

We promise to think of everyone and show kindness.

We will share fairly and we promise to keep our classroom tidy.

We will try to be brave like St Michael.

Welcome back Year 1!

It has been a pleasure welcoming the children into their new classroom. The children are settling into the school routine really well and they are impressing us with how much they have remembered from last year.

In English this term, we will be looking at our book ‘Beegu’, which is all about a little alien who crash lands on our school playground and has to find her way in a new world.

The children were incredibly excited to see Beegu’s spaceship on our playground and asked some brilliant questions to investigate what might have happened.

In Geography this term, the children will be looking at their local area. If you are happy to send in a photo of the children’s front doors/fronts of their houses, we would love to add these to our display.

You can find out all about what learning we are covering this term in our Curriculum Overview at the bottom on this page, so please do take a look.

Please remember to provide your child with a water bottle daily and as the weather becomes more unpredictable, an appropriate (named) coat is advised.

 Thank you for your support,

Miss Howell, Mrs Blackman and Mrs Harwood.
