Welcome back year 1!

Happy New Year!  We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of our cards and gifts, we were truly spoilt. 

This term we will be doing some very exciting learning through our main topic of ‘Toys’.  Take a look at the curriculum overview which is also posted on the school website to see more of what we will be learning this term. 

St Michael’s will continue to have PE on a Monday. Please make sure your child has the appropriate PE kit with them on this day.  This terms PE is gymnastics and so will be indoors.   

Forest School will continue on a Thursday so please ensure you also have the appropriate kit for this. Hats, gloves, scarves and layering up are essential at this time of year. 

Finally, as we are trying to encourage the children to become more independent, we are asking that they attempt to dress and undress themselves including: doing up and undoing buttons, putting on their socks and tights and doing up their own zips on coats.  Please help your child to practise these things at home too. 

Don’t forget to keep an eye on the Class Dojo for homework and any messages/notices that may be added.
