ST. THERESE’S CLASS (YEAR 4)

Welcome!

Mission Statement

In Year 4, our class will have faith in God and follow the teachings of Jesus.

We will always be truthful, honest, trustworthy and take responsibility for our actions.

We will forgive others, say sorry and ask for forgiveness when we make wrong choices.

We will love one another and treat each other respectfully, showing compassion.

We will always strive to do our best and be resilient.

Welcome to Year 4!

It is wonderful to welcome your children into Year 4 this term and I look forward to the privilege of teaching them again. They have been settling back into school life really well and getting to grips with our classroom routines and expectations. Mrs. Pomeroy and I have also been very pleased with their positive attitudes towards their learning.

This term our topic is ‘Africa’ and the children will be exploring this fascinating continent, particularly focusing on its rich culture. We will be reading ‘The Village that Vanished’ by Ann Grifalconi and Kadir Nelson to help bring this topic alive, echoing the oral storytelling traditions in this inspiring tale from the history of the Yao people.

Class Information:

This term, P.E. will be on a Tuesday and a Thursday.

Spellings and Times tables will be tested on a Thursday.

Homework

Homework is set on a Friday through the Class Dojo website and should be completed by the following Friday morning.

May I just remind you that I am unable to reply to messages or comments through the Class Dojo website and that any queries regarding homework should be sent through the office. In addition to homework, I will upload any further important class information when necessary.
