JRSO

The Junior Road Safety Officer (JRSO) scheme is designed to empower the children to highlight road safety issues within our school. This is done through raising awareness amongst pupils, teachers and the community, while maintaining links with their Road Safety Officer (RSO).

Children in Year 5 have the opportunity to apply for the role and then two children are appointed to become JRSOs for a one-year period. Their role is to maintain a road safety noticeboard, deliver presentations to classes or assemblies, and run road safety competitions within our school.

The JRSO scheme has a dedicated website, which is constantly being updated with games andcompetitions.
