Librarians

Children in Year 5 have the opportunity to volunteer to become a school librarian.
To apply for this role, children wrote a letter or presented a speech. St. Benedict’s
pupil librarians look after the library and ensure it is organised, they recommend
books, host whole school competitions and speak at assemblies.

During special times in the year, the librarians organise books and make displays
linked to the event. For example, during World Space Week they displayed space
books and football books were exhibited during the World Cup.
