Music Curriculum Overview
"Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and everything." Plato - Philosopher
Music transcends from different cultures, abilities and generations – stimulating responses on both emotional and intellectual levels. It allows opportunity for personal expression and plays an important part in the personal development of an individual.
At St. Benedict’s, we understand that Music is a powerful, unique form of communication that can change the way pupils feel, think and act. Our Music curriculum aims to promote the enthusiasm for, and the enjoyment of, music in all its forms. Our goal is for the children to develop musical skills and knowledge by engaging them in musical experiences as well as supporting them in developing life skills such as having the ability to concentrate and listen, be creative and self-confident.
